Hello everyone!
One of the requirements for V4 API access is for users to have their Frame.io ID and Adobe ID linked for authorization. This is also the most common reason for getting a 401 when trying to access endpoints after getting a successful token and authorization to Adobe IMS. Users have had to request the Frame.io Support Team link the two together manually.
Today we’ve shipped the ability for users to do this themselves in the Frame.io UI. If users are getting a 401 in your app, you can point them to this setting. This should massively improve the user experience as we migrate fully to Adobe Authorization.
Our official help guide for users is available here.
To link IDs, users can click on their avatar in the lower left hand corner, then select Settings > Profile.
Under Authentication, click Connect next to Adobe Authentication. Next, confirm your Frame.io ID email and Adobe ID emails match.
You will then confirm your Frame.io password and head over to Adobe to login there. Once logged in, you will need to confirm the connection.
Once linked, you’ll now see the ability to manage your identity on Adobe.
