Introducing the Frame.io V4 API Early Access Program

Amazing! Are you able to say when this feature will go out?

@WatchMyEdit this is live now! Here’s the support article that Rob mentioned.

Hi Charlie and Jhodges,

I just received an email that my legacy Frame V3 account (API v2) will automatically be updated to V4 on October 27th.

Does this mean that the Frame io V4 API will be complete and out of “Experimental”?

We currently are still in testing on the V4 API
preparing our automations and integrations
for when the V4 API is ready for prime time to integrate into our workflows.

Thanks

Hi there, apologies for any confusion; V3 accounts with API activity should have been excluded from receiving this email. That said, we’re releasing new capabilities to our V4 API continuously so you can always expect to see endpoints in experimental as we use this version to gather user feedback before promoting to our stable version.

Without knowing more about your particular workflows I can’t speak to if the stable routes we have available today will meet all of your needs, but you can view our API reference documentation published here: https://developer.adobe.com/frameio/api/current/

If you want to connect with us further with more specific capabilities necessary to migrate your workflows to V4, we’d love to better understand your needs.

Hi there, is there any update on how long the V4 API will take to be fully functional?

I am using V3 with make.com automations and have helf off upgrading it until we have API access

I have heard rumours that some users are being forced onto V4 in September/October, surely this can’t be the only option, especially when it hasn’t been sorted yet?

Would really appreciate an update, as our entire company runs off thi,s and it’s critical
