Clarification on API Pricing for Photographer and Filmmaker Platform Integration

Hi Frameio

I run a platform for architectural photographers and filmmakers. I have a network of 25 photographers and filmmakers who upload all of their photos and videos directly to my platform. We then get client selects on our platform and allow them to download the final deliverables direct from our platform.

I’m looking to integrate Frameio’s API for video markup and review.

From what I understand in your pricing is that it seems that I can use a single Frame.io user ID to send all of our content to Frame.io over API.

In other words, the content uploaded from all my 25 photographers and filmmakers can be sent frameio through a single username as long as they upload their images and videos to my platform, and then my platform uploads that content to Frameio via the API.

Can you confirm that this would be covered under the $15 per month plan for one user ID, or would I need to get a different plan?

I appreciate your clarification!

Michael

Hey there @bebourdain! This sounds like an interesting use-case and you’re asking the right questions. It’s definitely a grey area where I’m not sure our terms of service directly answer the question.

What I will say is that if you built out an API integration that forwards content uploaded by photographers and filmmakers into your Frame.io account, you would only be able to perform review an approval of those assets within Frame.io first-party apps (web, iOS, etc), and wouldn’t be able to support review and approval of those assets back in your application directly as we don’t support embedding of our player outside our product.

@bebourdain

Give Silosync.io a try! You can create multiple custom upload links to let collaborators upload directly to your Frame.io account. You can even create a custom portal on your platform for them to submit their files through.

Hope that helps,
