Share links retaining featured field setting

Here’s what I want:

Allow the Featured Field to be set to a field I choose, and then allow me to save that as the preset for share links. Or allow me to set the Featured Field when creating a share via API.

Why:

I use the API to create a share. That share gets sent to an assortment of clients, and I want them to use the Status field to set the video to Approved or Needs Revisions. This needs to be a featured field, otherwise it’s not accessible to them as they aren’t users on my company’s team, or if they can access it, it’s somewhat hidden on a tab they need to find and click to, and they’re not tech-savvy.

In v3, there was a Status Label toggle right at the top which was easy-peasy for them. Now, they’re all frustrated that there’s no clear way to do this, and we make shares multiple times a day via the API, so it’s clunky to have to manually open each share and change its settings so that the Status field is the featured field.

+1 on this, setting these review link settings via API is essential to our workflow as we send out 50+ review links to different clients each day and rely on the status changer as well as dont want them to download drafts until approval. This was previously available on v2/v3 APIs.

I do see an accountwide paywalled option (enterprise only) for removing the download option on the review links, but this would allow for much more specific control.

Hi @jesse thanks for the +1! I have an automation set up where I feed this forum post into JIRA and when the ticket is complete it will post a message saying so. Keep an eye on any automated responses from me so you know when it’s implemented!
