Introducing the Frame.io MCP Server

Hey Rosie,
Can we also get the MCP access to test it and use it for building a system in our agency. We use it for our clients and we want to use the ICP to initiate morning updates on our emails of the new updates in the frame. To do that an MCP will be great for us to connect from.

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to your reply.

Raj

Hi @Rosiec, we’re keen to join this integration testing. We’re currently using frame.io quite heavily with a Zapier integration for our production studios. Any direct connection to trial and provide feedback on would be very welcome from our end.

Thanks
Amplieo Team

I would like to access the MCP as well please. Please let me know next steps, I have a team that would benefit from it and we have extensive experience with integrating MCPs into existing workflows.

Hey Rosie, I’m interested in the MCP. I desperately need it for integration with my Claude Code Editing workflow.

Would be interested in the MCP if its still available

Would be interested in testing the MCP if possible!

Hey I’m interested!

Hi Rosie, I’d love to use the MCP to automate these things:

  1. Push and pull files from my desktop to a Frame.io folder
  2. Make timestamped comments given my instructions
  3. Merge video transcripts I created with ElevenLabs
  4. Rename files & organize folders

Hey Rosie, I’m super interested in this MCP. This would be super helpful with my editing and AI generation automations, with constant and improving automated feedback and generation based on the frame storage

Hi Rosie, we’d love to join the MCP beta. We’re FME Studios, a video production studio, and we’re already using Claude with After Effects, Blender and ElevenLabs on client ad work. Frame.io is the gap: we’d use the MCP server to upload review cuts, stack them as new versions on existing assets, pull comments back into our edit, and create share links, all without leaving the agent. Happy to give feedback as we go.

Hey Rosie!

I’d love to have access to this MCP. It would be very useful. Let me know next steps on how to get access.

Thanks

Hello rosiec, I would love to have the BETA for connecting the MCP. I am already on the latest FrameIO v4. I have a post production company and I use a lot of automation for video editing and have connected several tools with MCP. My entire video review process happens through FrameIO and I have been using this for past several years. Adding a MCP with my Claude will immensely reduce the overheads of uploading files manually and fetching comments. Please can I have access to the MCP?

Work for a medium-size direct-to-consumer brand. I’d love to give it a shot on our teams, happy to provide beta feedback as well. I’ve used Frame for many many years now, and have always been a huge fan of the product.

Hi Rosie, I’d love to try this out if there’s still room. Thanks! :hugs:

Thanks so much for your interest in joining the MCP private beta! Wanted to make sure you all saw the update to this post. The Frame.io MCP is now in public beta. You can now get started directly without onboarding through our team first.

This docs page has more information, and connection instructions for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, and the GitHub Copilot CLI

Hi Rosie! I’ve been testing the MCP in codex on my mac and pc, and the tools are available and the server responds, but account lookup fails on both with “your Frame.io account is not linked to an Adobe ID.”

I checked the authentication guide and my Frame.io profile settings. Google Authentication is enabled, but its toggle is locked with “contact support to update,” and Adobe Authentication’s Connect button is disabled.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it on my pc, but it never asked me to authorize again and still gave the same error. On my mac it did ask me to authorize, but ended up at the same spot.

I also found a forum thread about some migrated V4 accounts getting a similar error, so I figured I’d check here. Do I need support to help switch over from Google to Adobe sign-in, or is there something else I should try with the MCP?

Happy to send my account details privately if that helps. Excited to get this working!

Thank you so much Rosie

Hi @MylesCain!

You’ll need to have Google auth temporarily disabled in order to link your Frame.io and Adobe accounts.

This Help Center article has more information on the process, but you will need to contact Support to get that disabled first (sorry to send you somewhere else, they’re just the best team to help with account changes like this).

You can contact Support here: Frame.io | Contact Us

@rosiec I want MCP for my workflow

Hey @mark1oakweston, glad to hear it! The MCP is now in public beta, so you can get started on your end without us enabling anything for you.
