Frame.io v4 Enterprise – Server-to-Server Authentication / Static Token for API Access

Hello Team,

We recently migrated our integration from Frameio v3 to Frameio v4. In v3, we used a developer token, but we understand that developer tokens are no longer available in v4.

Our requirement is to use server-to-server authentication through Adobe so that our backend service can access the Frameio APIs without any user interaction. However, we’re unable to use the Server-to-Server Authentication option in the Adobe Developer Console. I’ve attached a screenshot for reference.

We are using a Frameio Enterprise account.

Could you please help us with the following questions?

  • How can we enable Server-to-Server Authentication for our account?
  • Is there any way to obtain a static or long-lived token for backend API access?
  • If not, what is the recommended approach for a backend service that needs to call the Frameio APIs without requiring user interaction?

Our ideal setup is to configure the credentials once (for example, in a configuration file) and allow our backend service to authenticate and call the APIs without any manual login or user consent.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi @storagedna.com

If you’re on an enterprise plan, you should have access to S2S. I just sent you a direct message requesting some information so I can take a look at your account on my end. That should help narrow down what’s going on here.
