We rolled out Frame.io Labs a little while back, and we’re inviting you in!
For developers, builders, tinkerers (insert your relevant ‘ers’ here), wiring things together in creative ways and finding new use cases is familiar territory… and Labs is built exactly for that. But it’s not just early access. It’s a way to have your voice heard, and shape what actually ships.
Frame.io Labs is an opt-in program that gives you early access to features before general availability. What you do with them (how you use them, what breaks, what you’d change) actually determines whether a feature reaches GA at all.
There’s more information in this Help Center article, including the list of what’s live in Labs right now. Two things worth knowing before you build on a Labs feature:
- It can change significantly or get pulled at any time (we’ll do our best to provide 14-30 days’ notice in these cases).
- Opting in doesn’t guarantee it ships. Some features graduate into Frame.io, others help us learn, and either outcome is useful.
Beyond that, the usual experimental caveats apply. Expect some slightly rough edges, and enabling Labs features is an account-admin action, so once one’s on, it’s on for everyone.
If you turn something on, tell us how it goes! The whole point is building with you instead of shipping at you.
