# V4- download files with python api

I want to write a script to download files from a network drive to my local computer, but I’m having some problems. I haven’t found any API for downloading files in V4.  
Does anyone know of a solution? Thanks.

hi @Juneleung you could use the [Show File](https://developer.adobe.com/frameio/api/current/#tag/Files/operation/files.show) endpoint (`https://api.frame.io/v4/accounts/:account_id/files/:file_id?include=media_links.original`) to show the `download_url` and then download the file via python. We are working on an updated version of the python sdk for v4 and should have something to share in the coming weeks!
